Replacement Windows in Arizona
Current incentive status, energy-code requirements, and local market research for Arizona homeowners replacing windows and doors.
Rebates & incentives
The federal window tax credit (25C) ended for projects placed in service after December 31, 2025. If your windows were installed in 2025, you can still claim it on your 2025 return — but for new projects there is no federal window credit. State and utility programs are now the main source of window incentives.
Arizona has been rolling out IRA Home Energy Rebate programs; whole-home efficiency retrofits can include windows within a modeled-savings project. Confirm current program status before counting on rebate dollars.
- APS / SRP utility efficiency programs. Arizona's major utilities — Arizona Public Service (APS) and Salt River Project (SRP) — run home efficiency programs; window measures typically qualify within whole-home or shade/sun-control efficiency work rather than a standalone window rebate. Energy code
Arizona has no statewide energy code; the City of Phoenix and other jurisdictions adopt their own codes based on recent IECC editions. In this cooling-dominated desert climate, low-SHGC (solar heat gain) glass drives the efficiency case.
